Maine Coon Kitten Adoption Process & Preparation

Preparing your home for the arrival of your new family member

Where to set up your new kitten for the first few days

Please consider a safe place to introduce your new kitten into your home, such as your homes master bedroom. If that room is connected to a bathroom that is an ideal place to leave a small litter box, water bowl and food bowls for wet and dry food. I like to use old retired bathroom rugs they are great for catching food or litter and they are washable!

Introducing your kitten to your home

If you have a large home or are worried about loosing track of your kittens whereabouts, I encourage you to purchase a small animal collar with a bell. This can facilitate finding your kitten if it goes into hiding.

Recommended food and litter
